The included default HALion Sonic SE covers the GM sound set and much more with 1500 sounds (2.5 GB library) and that's probably worth the cost by itself as it ships as a VST3 that can be used elsewhere as a plugin.

These files are not available in the Steinberg Download Assistant anymore. I have Studio One & Notion, and would agree that if you primarily work in a DAW, this integration is great! And I am not encouraging anyone already using another notation program make the switch! Dorico is a standalone notation program with decent playback features, plus import/export for MIDI, audio (wave & MP3), and MusicXML. But in regard to upgrading, especially from Elements to Pro, and even more if your home currency isn't EUR or USD, it could be more advantageous if you don't upgrade (particularly during this sale season). I have zero regrets of purchasing Dorico. (Incidentally I would like to have my forum ID email address changed back to what it was.Just want to share my experiences here regarding buying/upgrading Dorico. It was only when I went to the forums and made a post that I found that my NEW forum name was Julian_C which was the forum name I was using a long time ago when I was enrolled in the forum under the substituted email address. (The Steinberg forum ID process said that my default email address was ‘not a valid email address’ so I substituted an old email address and created my new Steinberg ID with it). This came about I think because in the process of creating a Steinberg ID for the forums I was forced to use a different email address to the one I had been using. I would like to notify you that my forum name has changed from 'asterism87 'to ‘Julian_C’.
